Five years ago, the amount of property tax you paid was 0.43%. Arizona was an affordable place to live back then. But since that time, property taxes have increased by more than 64%.
That’s a huge jump in just five years, and it’s too much for many people to handle. We really need our lawmakers to be open and honest about what's happening, because the governor seems more focused on just collecting more money than on helping the community.

One reason is that 75% of the money goes straight to education. I believe in helping education, but 75% feels like a lot, especially since teachers keep asking for more money each year.
I'm curious—what exactly do we spend that 75% on? Also, if we keep raising our budget, our taxes will keep going up too. You can see more about this in the answers to the questions in the article below.

Tax bills are usually calculated using something called the Limited Property Value, or LPV for short. This LPV usually goes up by about 5% each year. You can look at the links in the article below for more details.

Whenever a new law like this is introduced, it should be obvious that everyone in the government would support it. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
I shall consistently extend my support to our military personnel, law enforcement officials, firefighters, and healthcare workers for their bravery in safeguarding our well-being.
